Now that I have two EspDecks in my house, its time to start adding some automations. These are just going to be suggestions that people can make use of, ideas on what to use them for. There won’t be much text here, just the automation configurations and what they do.

Turning On Xmas Lights
My christmas lights have a few automations surrounding them, so this automation allows the EspDeck to turn off those automations and force the christmas lights to turn on (so that they also stay on).
Turning Off Xmas Lights
This automation turns on the automations that otherwise control the christmas lights, and turns the lights back off to a neutral state.
Activating Home Mode
This automation activates home mode. I have a separate automation I call that does the heavy lifting (also allowing it to be a center point for calling the mode). This turns on automations in my house that are only needed when we are home, and turns off other automations that are only needed when we are away.
Activating Away Mode
This automation activates away mode. I have a separate automation I call that does the heavy lifting (also allowing it to be a center point for calling the mode). This is the opposite of the home mode automation, turning off home only automations and turning on away only automations.
Conclusion
These are my current main EspDeck automations. I’m adding more as I come up with more use cases, but I don’t want to fill the whole keypad all at once, I’d like to have some space for future uses, so I don’t have many so far.
