The light switch is also partially buried in things hanging from the wall, so why not automate it to make things a bit easier, that is what smart homes are for. My idea is to use a smart door sensor and light switch to automate it and keep things from being left on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"goal\">Goal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Turn on the pantry lights while the door is open<\/li><li>Close the pantry lights when the door is closed<\/li><li>Allow lights to be turned on with the door closed<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Using<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Z-Wave Door Sensor<\/li><li>Z-Wave Light Switch<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hardware Chosen:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Light Switch<\/li><li>Aeotec Z-Wave Door Sensor 7<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"automations\">Automations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The automations are very straight forward for this.
